When you call Dr. Nathan’s office, you may reach his voicemail. Unless you request otherwise or unless his outgoing message instructs you that he is away, he will make every effort to return your call the same day if it is received before 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday or 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
Emergencies
If you have an emergency, you can contact Dr. Nathan’s answering service. Their phone number will be on his outgoing voicemail message. If there is an emergency and you cannot reach Dr. Nathan (or a colleague who is covering for him), you should call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Dr. Nathan is also available via email. Keep in mind that email may not be as secure as other means of communication, and there is a theoretical risk that messages could be intercepted or lost. If this is a concern, please do not send email to Dr. Nathan. Also remember that if Dr. Nathan is away, only his voicemail will definitely indicate this.
Prescription Refills
If contacting Dr. Nathan for a prescription refill, please provide the name of the medication, the dose, and the phone and fax number of your pharmacy. Dr. Nathan will contact you only if there is a problem with refilling the medication. You need to give Dr. Nathan advance notice for refills, especially near a weekend or holiday.
